Is brow lamination/lash lifting safe?

Brow lamination and lash lifts are safe for most everyone, but if you’re prone to allergies or have reactive skin, it’s best to schedule a patch test. The treatments can be done while pregnant/breastfeeding, but it is ultimately up to your discretion and comfort level.

Is tinting my eyebrows and eyelashes safe?

The tint I use is a gentle formula and has been an industry standard for years. Tinting is safe for most everyone, but if you’re prone to allergies or have reactive skin, it’s best to schedule a patch test.

What is a patch test?

A patch test is a quick 5-minute appointment at least 4-5 days prior to your service. I will swatch some of the active solution on your inner arm and you will observe it for a few days. This will help us determine if proceeding with your chosen service is right for you. Not everyone requires a patch test, it is mostly recommended if you have allergy-prone, reactive skin. Please know that if you forego the patch test, reactions may be delayed and could result in swelling, hives, etc. Text 202-579-9369 to schedule one.

Brow lamination aftercare

Brow lamination is amazing but I like to say it’s low-maintenance, not no-maintenance.

1. No water for 24hrs and 2. Brush them with oil every night

It’s crucial to not get the brows wet for the next 24 hours after the treatment. That means no showering, sweating, splashing your face with water, saunas, steam rooms, etc, and no makeup in the brow area either.

The other equally important step is brushing the brows with oil. Brush them with oil every single day. Use a little during the day and after your shower, but be more generous before bed. Doing this prolongs the treatment and keeps your brows soft and feathered.

Before your brow lamination

Pause your use of retinol products and prescription topical creams/liquids around the brow area 5-7 days before your appointment. No exfoliation, micro-needling, chemical peel or fake tan before/after treatment. Let your brows grow in as much as possible for the best results!

After your brow lamination

Do not wet your brows for 24 full hours. They are still processing and if they get wet, the brows can lose the lamination treatment or curl up.

The brows can appear intense in the first 24 hours, but will soften up and appear more natural in the following 24-48 hours and after you are able to wash your face.
